Stereotyping

Stereotyping can be both positive and negative, I think. It’s very fun, but can also make the wrong impression of people. Therefore, it’s important that we don’t take this serious and understand that nothing’s really true. It’s just for fun. I think we place people in groups because it makes kind of a system. Because we know so little about them, it’s very easy for us to judge them, even though it’s not true at all.

poetry project

Last week, we started a project about poetry. We were going to make a multi modal poetry presentation, and present it in class. I liked this way of working with poetry, because we went deep in the chosen poem, and tried to understand what it really was about. We found pictures that went with the text, and a song that matched with it. I didn’t learn that much about these poetry sessions, but I did learn a little about moviemaker, which we used in our presentation. I also learned something about seeing poetry in another way. Everyone had a very good presentation, I think. Some used moviemaker like us, and others used glogster or PowerPoint.
